Feeding appropriate to the species Horses are, as you know with certainty, permanent eaters and develop an enormous gluttony with the usual bulk feeding. As a result, the horses eat too fast, often do not chew enough and swallow the feed partly unchewed. The gastric juices cannot work properly due to the fact that the feed is not sufficiently salivated. The result is indigestion, colic or even stomach ulcers.
In order to counteract this natural instinct of horses and to give humans the possibility to integrate feeding into their daily routine in a time- and cost-saving way, WEINSBERGER developed the triple feeding together with the Federal Research Institute.
With triple feeding, the feed per portion is scattered very gradually into the feed trough and each time only as much as the horse can just take in with its lips. This results in the horses chewing slowly. The feed is then very well salivated and can then be better broken down in the stomach. Due to the natural way the horse eats, the bit is also worn down in a natural way. Every stable equipped with WEINSBERGER feeding systems has not had a single case of feeding-related colic since. Also due to the short feeding breaks.
But also you as a horse owner win by the concentrate feeders. On the one hand, with the WEINSBERGER feeders you are no longer bound to the feeding times. Sleeping in longer on Sundays or having a date with friends in the evening is no longer a problem for you.
