Eventing saddle from Höpfner

Eventing saddle from Höpfner - Hello all,

I offer here a used VS saddle in the direction of jumping from Höpfner on behalf of a very dear friend who is not familiar with online sales.
Therefore, right up front: Happy to answer questions about it, but until we have consulted among ourselves, it may take a while.

The saddle has a seat of about 42.5 cm measured from the center of the cantle edge to the center of the saddle nail. Between the saddle nails measured a width of about 12.5 cm, I tried to photograph it as best I could. Unfortunately I can't find any inch measurements. Converted would be probably roughly 17 inches but actually it should be more because the saddle was actually ordered with a larger seat at the time. If there is a need, we will be happy to measure.

It is an old model that the girlfriend has made many years ago for her first horse at Höpfner.
The saddle was used a lot and loved dearly, but since the saddle does not fit on the current horse, it has long been at home in a room and waiting for a new area of use.

The saddler who inspected the saddle before it was put into storage a few years ago said it was technically fine.
He has clear signs of use and is visually no longer a highlight . Along the welt seams on the seat, the leather is getting thin, as well as on the underside of the pommels, there's small holes. Below the stripes is some leatherette processed, this has a few cracks. On the pommels below the saddle flaps, there are a few scuff marks that have been patched with leather. The paint is stained, rubbed areas on front and rear pommels present.

The saddle comes with Maria stirrup leathers, a pair of stirrups with rust stains and a pair of stirrup leathers, but the seams need to be resewn.
