In the natural environment, horses spend about 60% of their time eating, while in the stable they spend only about 10%. With the Forager, the horse's feeding speed can be regulated and hay wastage can be reduced.
With the Slowfeeder stomach ulcers, obesity and laminitis can be prevented. The natural feeding posture prevents muscle tension in the back and neck. The imitation of the horse's natural diet and behaviour prevents digestive and metabolic disorders. The lower natural eating posture protects the eyes and respiratory tract from particles in the air and allows the teeth and jaw bones to move freely. The Forager outperformed competitors' slow feeders in all of Haygain's tests. It outperformed the competition's feeding time by 23%.
