Icelandic gelding - It is with a very heavy heart that I am selling my Icelandic gelding Flaumur. He simply has too much go and too much speed for me in the field. It just doesn't fit because I'm also a mom. Flaumur is very well-behaved on walks. When riding he is a bit jumpy when big machines come along. With a little distance this works very well. I have never had any problems with him in the arena or in the arena. However, as I spend most of my time out and about and it's just not right between us, he is now looking for his forever home. At the moment I mainly work him from the ground and we go for walks. He needs to be rebuilt and lose more weight.
Flaumur lives in our open stable in a mixed herd. The Icelandic gelding is of high rank but a fair boss. Various sizes and age groups are represented in my group. Flaumur is about 1.46 m tall, was born in 2009 and runs barehoof with me and with hoof boots when riding. The gelding was previously shod, which would certainly be feasible again. Flaumur reacts to mites and some grasses, has mild eczema which is well controlled with sulphur flower powder and a blanket, although he only wore the blanket in the pasture with me.
It is not a distress sale, I wish for him the final place he deserves. The Icelandic gelding can move out with various accessories if you are interested. Flaumur can be visited and test ridden.
