The saddle has accompanied me faithfully over many years and is fully usable. The seat surface is 17.5 inches. Even after all these years the saddle is still in its original condition. The chamber width should be somewhere between 30 and 32. It is not stamped into the saddle. The saddle always lay on a narrow, about 1.70 m large warmblood. "Unfortunately" my horse has gained a lot of muscles, so that the saddle now lies slightly "uphill". Therefore I have to part from him now with a heavy heart.
Unfortunately, the transition from the saddle flap to the shoulder pad starts on the underside. According to the saddler, the leather of the pad has simply become porous due to age. He advised me at that time not to glue it over to avoid chafing edges for the horse. I have always continued to use the saddle with a normal saddle pad. It never tore further. I have tried to show the spots on the pictures in the best possible way. Despite these signs of age-related wear, the saddle is fully usable and gives an incredibly secure seating feeling with optimal close contact to the horse. I had the stripes repaired two years ago. They are in good condition.
