He is an extremely versatile horse that adapts to any riding level and forgives mistakes, but still teaches his rider to ride finely and be attentive. He masters riding lessons, lunging lessons, cavaletti jumps and a working equitation course with riding on the garrocha with incomparable good-naturedness. He is absolutely easy to handle, even with children. In addition, he always behaves in an exemplary manner at the farrier, vet, loading, in the solarium and so much more. Hercules never takes advantage of a rider's weakness and shows true greatness here. An ambitious rider will get his money's worth with him and enjoy the lessons. A weaker rider feels safe and can learn a lot from him, because he secures the lessons here and always makes it easy for his rider.
His level of training includes professional dressage training through to lateral movements in all gaits, flying canter changes, as well as piaffe, passage and Spanish walk. The latter lessons were not the main focus for us, as he was used as a school horse. He can be classified as an excellent teacher, as he does not demand to be ridden at a high level. In addition, he never gets hectic, but is always keen to do everything right and, above all, to make his rider happy. When ridden in pairs, he is very decent in all three gaits.
For us, he is the "little uncle" we raved about as children.
Of course, this Portuguese dream prince has full APSL paperwork. His pedigree goes back to the Olympic stallion "Riopele".
He has of course been vaccinated, wormed, had an osteopathic check-up and had his teeth done. He was also regularly presented to the farrier (currently shod four times). X-rays from 2023 are available.
