5 year old Icelandic mare with filly at foot, 150cm - Beautiful, very tall (approx. 150cm) mare with adorable, large filly born on 4.9.2024 at foot.
Athena was imported from Iceland at the beginning of 2023, has passed the AKU perfectly and has been free of eczema since last year without covering in Austria. Last summer she stood in a paddock right next to a stream and shows no signs of eczema!

Athena is a very friendly horse and interested in people. So far she has learned to stand tied up, to let the farrier and the vet work in peace, to be groomed and saddled, and she has also mastered walks through the village and past building sites etc. very well. Although she is well-behaved and uncomplicated, due to her age and level of training she needs a confident person at her side who sets her boundaries calmly but clearly.
Athena knows Parelli basic training and can also be handled by experienced children. (Videos on request)
She has very nice basic gaits, but also shows tölt and would certainly be very good in the dressage arena or working equitation in the future, as well as in classic Icelandic horse sport.
Athena would be interesting for further breeding (problem-free, quick birth and exemplary mother) or ready to start her life as a riding horse.
