Loving horse person wanted - Hey, My name is Eileen and I am looking for a reliable, dependable, patient and warm-hearted horse person. I deliberately chose this formulation because my Ragnar (13 years old) is currently only ridden to a limited extent (in riding lessons). That's the catch for both of us... A potential foster and riding partner must be willing to take regular lessons with him (ideally at least once a week, otherwise at least once every two weeks!) with our riding instructor. A good riding seat would be ideal, but we have a great instructor. As I am well aware that this will incur additional costs for the lessons, the monthly amount I am asking for the care and riding participation will not be too high. Unfortunately, Ragnar must have experienced some things in his past that a loving animal person would not wish on any animal. That is why we are starting from scratch to teach him everything in peace. Of course, this takes time, patience, strength, energy and money. For this reason, we only consider people who are aware of this responsibility, who are confident enough to take on this small challenge and who already have experience. Ragnar has been with me for over two years now, we have done a lot of ground work and lunging and are currently venturing into double lungeing and circus lessons. He has already learned a lot in this time and is blossoming more and more. He is a gelding and sometimes (a little) cheeky. But he is a nice guy and if you have earned his trust, he is also affectionate and likes to accompany you when you are doing the yard work and likes to look over your shoulder. Nevertheless, he is NOT a horse on which you can learn to ride! We are based in a self-catering stable in 68794 Rheinhausen and stable work is of course part of the package. Three times a week we have yard duty, which means mucking out, preparing hay nets for the next day and filling up with water. In the beginning we will spend time together in the stable, but as soon as I realize that "the chemistry fits" and Ragnar and I can rely on you, you will have a lot of freedom with me and maybe even "your own stable days" without me. We would be very happy if we could find someone who fits in with us and our little "stable family".
