Polypropylene is water-repellent, rain runs off the outer skin and cannot be absorbed. The ingenious thing is that there is another waterproof barrier under the outer skin, the coating of this layer with Aquatrans also makes it waterproof and extremely breathable at the same time. Even if the outer skin of the Rhino rug is damaged, the second layer protects against moisture penetration. Inner lining with Vari-Layer technology The inner lining is made of antistatic polyester. It is silky soft and smooth, making it comfortable to wear and giving the coat a beautiful sheen. Naturally, the blanket is extremely breathable. The Vari-Layer technology stands for more warmth with less weight. The back of the rug has a 450g filling, the upper part of the rug is filled with 300g and the lower part with 150g. This means that the blanket is lighter, as the filling is only thicker in the back area, where most of the heat escapes. The rug is easier to handle and older horses in particular, which often lose weight in winter, are less burdened by a heavy rug. Cut/features The proven Surefit neckline with V-front closure system prevents pressure points on the shoulder and gives more freedom of movement around the neck when grazing. The unique Horseware patented leg cut-out gives the horse more freedom of movement and also allows the rug to hug the belly better so that it is also protected. The rug has no back seam and a long tail flap. Reflective strips at the front and on the tail flap ensure greater safety in the dark season. This Rhino rug is equipped with Velcro strips that connect it to the neck piece supplied. It is also compatible with the liner system (not included, but available in our store). Attachment In the chest area, the V-front fastening of the rug is closed using sturdy eyelets and metal snap hooks. At the belly, the rug is fastened with 3 crossed and adjustable belly straps and a crupper completes the rug.
