P.R.E. gelding / therapy horse / character horse - It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to look for a new home for our 14-year-old P.R.E. gelding "Pau" (= peace in Catalan) due to family time constraints. We are looking for someone who will take him to their heart and care for him as much as we always have. Pau came to Germany from Mallorca at the age of 5. He came from a nice Spanish family who rode him bitless and also drove him with a single horse (photos and videos available). He was trained by us as a therapy horse and has been ridden as a leisure horse (jumping/pole work, dressage, cross-country) in recent years. He knows the double lunge and is used to different riders, and he is also very fond of forging and loading. He loves long rides, especially in the water, and knows children and dogs. He has a very playful character, knows circus lessons such as Spanish walk and much more. He has never had an accident, but is currently not in training much, definitely needs training in canter, otherwise he knows a bitless bridle and water snaffle, vaulting pad, bareback riding etc. He has sweet itch, so he is for sale for less than his actual value. A fly rug with neck protection and creaming (doesn't have to be daily!) of the mane comb and tail ridge plus reduced grass feeding, as he is a light feeder, means he is well under control. So far, he has integrated very well into every herd, but as he loves hay, he is a little higher in rank. He is a very cool and rather relaxed type, knows how to throw balls on his back and hang cloths in his mane, as well as restless riders or children, but also has potential for people who want to work with him, also in the direction of working equitation, as he is also very happy about head work. His height is 1.62 m. We wish him a place with the person of his heart and ask only for serious inquiries, he is very sociable, but needs a confident counterpart who can also assert himself. A test ride costs 25 €, this will be deducted from the purchase price. Equine passport is available, he is vaccinated and currently barehoofed. Please only serious inquiries.
