Side horse possibly broodmare - Elsa is a 9 year old lustiano mix mare from Spain that we actually bought as a riding horse, but is not rideable due to kissing spines. Now she is our side horse, but as she has a serious problem with being alone, we are looking for the best place for her, where she can perhaps keep company with a senior who is no longer separated from her for daily work. Elsa herself can easily be separated from the herd and lunged or walked, she just doesn't like to be left alone back in the paddock or box, where she then gallops up and down until someone keeps her company again. I could also imagine her as a broodmare, as she obviously has a very beautiful appearance. She has also carried a 6 year old child on the lunge and on walks without any obvious signs of pain, but as soon as the weight increases she shows clear pain reactions, which is why she is not offered/given away as a riding horse or children's horse. Elsa knows open and paddock boxes as well as box stalls, although she does not prefer the latter. She is part of a mixed herd where she enjoys a medium rank. She is very cuddly and likes to be cuddled on her chest and head for hours. She is well-behaved when driving a trailer, but loading is always a game of chance, sometimes she gets on immediately, sometimes not. She can give the front hooves without any problems, only the hindquarters are difficult due to her back problem. I would be delighted if Elsa could finally find a home where she can be happy and not be subjected to daily separation stress.
