Training with double lunge and single lunge - In principle, lunge work is an optimal supplement and variety to the usual riding training. Especially for the first breaking in of a horse, important basic elements can be provided and taught through this training. Starting with the single lunge, the work is quickly extended to the double lunge, in order to further promote the gymnastics of the animal in this way. Double lunge work provides the horse with frame and stability and allows training up to higher dressage lessons.
The design of the lunge work in the context of a fine and communicative level is particularly important to me: The goal is to carry out the training by means of minimal, hardly visible signals and to have as little mechanical influence as possible! The result is a very fine connection between horse and lunge handler. Here I also use the techniques of the communication scientist and psychologist Linda Weritz.
